The Phoenix Project
Since 1990, we’ve been the trusted “go-to” provider in Southern Marin for
services ranging from food and necessity distribution to emergency cash grants,
event supplies, and wraparound support for families and adults.
Our support services arm, called The Phoenix Project, is a unique partnership
with law enforcement, county agencies, non-profits, and businesses, providing
vocational, legal and counseling support for at-risk Marin City families and adults
and guiding them to develop personal, social, and economic skills to better
navigate the world around them.
Marin City Historical & Preservation Society
Performing Stars’ newest project, the Historical & Preservation Society was
founded in 2022 to provide a home and a channel for the growing ideals of
inclusion, preservation, and community empowerment in Marin City.
The Society’s mission is to preserve the artifacts and tell the stories centered on
the lived history of Marin City residents. Linking past to present, it shines a light
on historical realities and ongoing community needs, offering events and
education to current residents—particularly young leaders—to build pride in
the community’s legacy and present-day potential

“With the help of the Phoenix Project of Performing Stars, I was able to get my life, family and career back on track. I got my Driver’s License reinstated, graduated from Fresh Starts Culinary Academy, and found a great job in food service. I couldn’t have done it without them.” - Solomon Anderson, Sausalito Resident
